Safety Orientation

All new members and members who let their membership lapse are required to attend a Safety Orientation class as part of their application for SSSC membership.

The purpose of Safety Orientation Program is to improve upon all aspects of safety on-and-off the range. Our objective is to communicate a consistent interpretation of the important safety rules—as well as policies, procedures and protocols for use of range facilities—via a face-to-face session and procedures.

The Orientations classes are conducted at the SSSC range, and are targeted for approximately 1 1/2 hours duration. The Club’s Range Safety Officer—or RSO designee—will conduct the orientations.

Upon completion of the Orientation, the RSO will submit verification of attendance to the Club secretary for continuation of the application process.

Orientation classes are usually held the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10am at the range.  Check our Facebook page and the Home Page for the next Orientation class schedule.
